Frequently Asked Questions
  1. How does this work?

Ans: flipNtrade is an online community site where you can list stuff you do not need and trade them for items which may be of interest to you. Once you identify something you like, you can make a ‘trade’ offer to the owner, where you offer one or more of your listed items in exchange for the items you want. If the owner likes the deal, he has the option of accepting the offer and both parties then ship their respective goods to each other.

  1. How do I start?

Ans: In order to list your unused inventory and make trade offers, you will need to sign up with flipNtrade. Signup is free and requires only basic details. Once your account is setup, you can immediately post your items and start trading.

  1. Do I need to pay for every transaction?

Ans: All trades are free unless you choose the "pick-up" option when the other trader lives close to you. In that particular case a tiny fee of 99 cents is required.

  1. Wouldn’t it be better for me to list my items on eBay and then use the cash to buy things I need?

Ans: You could try, but we can assure you, from personal experience, that you will end up paying money out of pocket at the end of the day even when your item is not sold. flipNtrade offers you the unique chance of acquiring things you need, without having to pay for them.

  1. How do I keep track of responses to my listed items and trade offers which I make?

Ans: flipNtrade offers an on-site messaging system which enables you to communicate with other members. Your trade offers, listed items and responses to both are saved in your own personal inbox, which you can check and reply to whenever you log in.

  1. Does this really work? What if no one wants the stuff I listed?

Ans: When you make trade offers, people will go through your listed items, and it is very likely that they will like at least one of your items, much more than what they have and want to dispose off. For example, you have two cameras listed, and the other guy has two cell phones listed. Both of you might be better off with one camera and one cell phone each. All you need to do is get people to look at your inventory. Our experience shows that people tend to agree to trade offers once they take a look at your items.

  1. Can I list anything I want to trade?

Ans: While you can list almost everything you have but do not want, we do have a list of prohibited items. Please refer to this list before you post an item. Items found in violation will be deleted.
